Art With Me

Art With Me is the kind of festival that cannot be described through music alone, even though music is one of its strongest forces. It began in Tulum in 2018 as a project built around art, culture, community and sustainability, and from the beginning it wanted to be more than a beachside party. Its world combined large-scale installations, electronic music, intimate concerts, food, talks, wellness, children’s programming, sensory experiences and an explicit concern for the environmental impact of the destinations it occupied. That mixture gave it a clear personality: Art With Me was not simply a festival to attend, but an experience to move through, taste, hear, question, dance inside and share with a place.

Its Tulum origin is essential. By the late 2010s, Tulum had already become a global destination for beaches, design, boutique hotels, restaurants, electronic music and travel spirituality, but it was also a place facing environmental pressure, rapid development and difficult questions about infrastructure and sustainability. Art With Me appeared right at that intersection: natural beauty, aspirational tourism, creative culture and the need to talk about waste, water, conservation and responsibility. Instead of using Tulum only as a photogenic setting, the festival tried to place those issues inside the experience, using art as its central language and the local community as part of the conversation.

The festival’s pillar structure helps explain why it works differently from a traditional music event. Art With Me is organized around ideas such as Art, Dance, Breathe, Eat, Play and Care. That means visual art and installations, music and dance, physical and emotional wellbeing, food, family programming and social or environmental awareness. On paper, that may sound ambitious, but it is the core of the festival’s appeal. It does not force the audience into a single path. One person can come for the DJs, another for the installations, another for yoga or meditation, another for food, another for kids’ activities, another for the setting, and all of them can still inhabit the same creative ecosystem.

Musically, Art With Me has leaned especially toward house, deep house, melodic house, Afro house, organic house, elegant techno, live electronic music, downtempo and global sounds that suit an immersive environment. It is not a hard electronic festival and not a big-room EDM spectacle. Its music tends to seek a more sensory kind of energy: long grooves, warm percussion, enveloping bass, sets that respond to landscape, voices that float and a style of dancing closer to social ritual than to main-stage impact. Across its different editions, the festival has welcomed artists from the global club circuit, ranging from organic and melodic sounds to larger international names.

The expansion to Miami changed the context but not necessarily the DNA. In Miami, Art With Me no longer relied on Tulum’s jungle and beach atmosphere. It entered a different ecosystem: Art Basel, Miami Art Week, Wynwood, galleries, murals, nightlife, collectors, international visitors and the city’s electronic music scene. The 2025 edition at RC Cola Plant and Green Space at Mana Wynwood showed that evolution clearly, with Zamna and Disco Presents as partners and a lineup featuring Eric Prydz, CamelPhat, Sofi Tukker, WhoMadeWho Live, Luciano, Dixon b2b Jimi Jules, Lee Burridge presents All Day I Dream, LP Giobbi, Christian Löffler Live and Parra for Cuva Live. The festival became more urban and industrial, while keeping its idea of a multisensory journey.

What makes Art With Me interesting is that it never fits fully into one category. It is not a pure contemporary art festival, because music and social experience carry too much weight. It is not a pure music festival, because installations, wellness, food, talks, community and family programming are not decorative extras. It is not only a luxury party either, even if many of its contexts—Tulum, Miami, Art Week—sit close to premium tourism. Its identity lives in that tension: aspirational but conscious, aesthetic but communal, festive but reflective, global but still tied to place.

The physical experience changes depending on the location. In Tulum, it could feel like a creative takeover of beaches, jungle, hotels, restaurants and open-air venues, with sand, vegetation, monumental art and music at sunset. In Miami, especially in Wynwood, the experience becomes more urban: industrial architecture, walls, street art, green zones, Art Week energy, international crowds and a flow closer to a creative campus. In both cases, the festival pushes the audience to move rather than remain fixed in front of one stage. The idea is to discover, wander and pass through different atmospheres.

Art With Me matters because it represents a strong direction in contemporary festival culture: the rise of hybrid experiences. More audiences now want something that is not only a concert, not only an exhibition, not only a wellness retreat and not only a party. They want a space where music sits beside visual identity, food, design, wellbeing, conversation, community and a sense of purpose. Art With Me has built a brand around that expectation. Its challenge, like any festival of this kind, is to preserve authenticity behind a very attractive aesthetic and to prevent consciousness from becoming only decoration. But when it works, it offers something few formats achieve: an experience where art, music, body, landscape and community feel like part of the same story.
