Numbers, home base and house quirks
Off The Grid Campout gathers in October in the desert at Apple Valley, California. The ground is Sirius Ranch, which Grant Gilmore, in EDM Identity on 1 June 2025, already calls OTG Ranch, their own land. Mikey Made founded it. The site, read on 28 September 2026, invites people from 22 to 25 October, with tickets on sale, and speaks of a decade of music, art and community in Southern California. That date is still on the calendar: it has not been lived yet. The address on the homepage is info@offthegridcampout.com. Mixinmeup also keeps mikey@offthegridcampout.com.
The age counts do not match and they stay side by side. Electronic Groove, signed by Juan Ignacio R. Wilkinson on 8 October 2024, calls the weekend of 10 to 14 October 2024 the eighth edition. Gilmore calls 9 to 13 October 2025 the tenth anniversary. The homepage read in 2026 speaks of ten years. If 2024 is the eighth, the following autumn would be the ninth, and Gilmore's sentence stays beside it, uncorrected. Wilkinson writes that the 2024 edition returns after the gathering kept its identity through lawsuits. He gives neither a case number nor a court.
Wilkinson's piece comes out before the weekend and announces more than 150 acts and more than 76 hours, plus installations, comedy, fire, workshops and yoga. A stage for young DJs debuts on 13 October. The announced bill names Destructo, who is Gary Richards, with a Sunrise Sermon; Mija; Gettoblaster; PillowTalk; Doorly; Gina Turner; Jimpster; Wolfy Lights with KJ Sawka; DJ Sneak; Kevin Knapp; Donald Glaude on a drum and bass set; and Rabbit In The Moon. Robot Sunrise says, before going up, that he will play a live hybrid set on Saturday night on the techno stage of the Xuza art car. That stays an announcement. Thee-O names True Events alongside Mikey Made and compares the growth with the early days of Insomniac. Donald Glaude says it will be his first time there with drum and bass. That is not a write-up of what sounded. Mixinmeup's page for that weekend lists alcohol booths, food booths, disability access and RVs, and a map point at 34.5238, -117.199. DJ Reza, in the same piece, says Mikey and his team put care into every detail.
Gilmore, on 1 June 2025, publishes the first phase of 9 to 13 October and says the ranch of their own is already open. At the head of the announcement: Destructo, Rusko, Roni Size, Shiba San, Township Rebellion, The Polish Ambassador and Planet Of The Drums. Further down: Doorly, DJ Heather, Casmalia, Henry Pope, Gina Turner, Polar Bears, Joe Pea, DJ IdeaL, Ekonovah, Patricio, Chocolate Sushi and Colette. On the undercard: Drew Dapps, Ocean Roulette, Skandar, Daniel Allen, Alyssa Rose, Show Shonna and Bumparoo. The passes are weekend, Saturday and Sunday, or Sunday only. There is car camping, RV camping and an early-arrival pass on Thursday. Tickets, he writes, are on Eventbrite, and the rest of the notices on Instagram. It is a June announcement.
What does stay closed is Ben Annand's own note on his Sunday evening turn in 2025. At the changeover a large part of the floor leaves, with no change of style. He keeps the plan and does not take it as something personal. About 21 minutes later the bass line of Monie, by Huxley, comes in and the floor returns. About 10 minutes after that he mixes Skiziz's remix of Call Me, by Deee Lite, with the line about getting call waiting. He writes that a remix or a familiar track is rare in his turn, and that it worked. The floor, he says, doubled from the moment he took the booth. Afterwards he stayed at the party until 5 in the morning. He thanks Mikey Made, Jovie and the team, Jiramanat, Zach and ChinoSound for the audio, and the Conscious United camp. He calls himself an Oregon orphan.
The October 2026 invitation stays an announcement. The homepage puts 22 to 25. Songkick stretches it from Thursday 22 to Monday 26, gives Chicago Rd, code 92307, and on the bill prints only The Sponges. Shotgun puts Thursday 22 at 12:00 through Sunday 25 at 14:00, and attributes the organisation to Off The Grid. Music Festival Wizard says 18 or over, camping and RVs, and a Thursday pre-party. Ticket Fairy remembers tickets from about 30 dollars in 2025 and that Sirius Ranch also rents the field for canine agility. In May 2021 the same ranch hosted Metatronica, from the 28th to the 30th. What was walked, with a title, remains Monie and Call Me on Annand's Sunday.
