Oranjebloesem

Oranjebloesem is the one-day festival on the king's birthday, in Amsterdam. The 4PM Entertainment card leaves it founded in 2014, with the weight on techno, house and trance, and says that from 2019 the place was the Olympisch Stadion, with a figure of theirs of about 30,000. Het Parool writes that 4PM took it from Chasing the Hihat. On 27 April 2026, already past, Festivalinfo and the RAI place it indoors, at the RAI, with Free Your Mind, from 12:00 to 22:00, entrance C. From that day there is no closed song in a review. The RAI card puts the price at 63.50 euros and speaks of four rooms. The hall address is Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, post box 77777, 1070 MS. The hall phone is +31 20 549 12 12. Festivalinfo notes the train at RAI station, next door, toward Amsterdam Centraal, Schiphol and Utrecht. The festival site still shows that date. Het Parool says 4PM cancelled the 2025 edition: production costs, inflation and pressure on the market. They write that they could not give the usual quality. Ticket money is returned. The afterparty Nachtbloesem, the one after the festival, does go on that year. Kingsland, the other festival of the same house, also goes on, and it is a different one. Festileaks, in February 2025, adds that 2023 had already fallen: Metallica was playing that Koningsdag at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and there was not enough staff. Floris ten Hacken, on 28 April 2022, writes that that return came three years after the previous edition.

Kevin Linders, in Festival Fans, with a page date of 2 May 2024, walks 27 April 2024 at the stadium. He writes that Willem-Alexander was blowing out 57 candles and that there were five stages. On the street, on the way, a flea-market Heineken at 2 euros. Inside, the small beer at 3.90. On the quay stage, Rozie mixes trance and house and closes with Hello, by Martin Solveig. The crowd sings the melody. Then Joris Voorn on the big stage, with no loose title. Linders says the set turns monotonous for him. In the tent, Michel de Hey and Luuk van Dijk, back to back, no title. Amelie Lens closes the big stage, harder than Voorn, no title. At 20:00 it stops.

Lars Besselink, on the same page, walks the same day. The forecast was rain. The sun comes out in spells and no coat is needed. He writes that the music ends at 20:00 because of an Amsterdam rule, not because the house wanted it, and that the day started at 12:00. DJ Guide, for that Saturday, puts 11:00 to 20:00. The two opening hours stay together. Lockers, toilets without a long queue, card payment and no tokens. Small beer 3.90 euros, large 7.80. Besselink stays at Onder het Vuur and on the hoofdtribune. SNTS fills the stadium with schranz, no title. Joris Voorn, lighter drumcode beats, no title. Paula Temple closes, with orange lights and flamethrowers coming out of the stage, no title. The DJ Guide bill splits, with no further titles, the hoofdtribune among Amelie Lens, Bart Skils, HI-LO, Joris Voorn and Mees Salomé. Op het Veld: Creeds, Cynthia Spiering, DYEN, LENA and Nico Moreno. Onder het Vuur: Charlie Sparks, Fatima Hajji, Paula Temple, SNTS and Stan Christ. In the tent: Cher Semain, Easttown, Julian Anthony, Litmus, Locklead, Luuk van Dijk, Marco Lys, Mateo Dufour, Michel de Hey and Saar Kuus. Langs de Kade: DJ Europarking, Lucky Done Gone, Rozie, Spacer Woman and Surf 2 Glory.

Floris ten Hacken, in Festileaks on 28 April 2022, with photos by Mark Richter, walks the return in the same stadium. Op Het Plein, googie architecture, with Antal and David Vunk. Festileaks writes Vunk. Langs De Kade, a house behind the dj and house music. Onder Het Vuur, containers. In Het Stadion, De Sluwe Vos and Reinier Zonneveld, and an echo off the stands: in some spots you hear the music from the front and from behind. Antal and Carista swap hours on the paper. Toman, at Langs De Kade, puts in tech house and, at times, a nineties acid record with a sample that says house music. That is the sample, not the title of the record. I Hate Models pushes the pulse in the middle of the afternoon, stops the music and drops the bass back in. He wears a mask. The review says it is not a medical one. After Joris Voorn, Zonneveld fills the stands with live techno and puts on his record Hard Gaan. Ten Hacken writes that the sun comes out at that moment. There is a meeting point on the field. At 20:00 it ends. Whoever continues goes to Nachtbloesem.
