Ouest Park

Ouest Park is the October weekend at Fort de Tourneville, in Le Havre: a converted military fort, with Le Tetris, the CEM and tents. The association Papa's Production, also written Papa'S Production, has run it from the start. Le Havre tourism leaves it founded in 2004. Ferarock adds that the association then took over Blues à Gogo and built another formula, open to rock, rap and electronics, outdoors. Franck Testaert, founder of the association and director of the Tetris, tells Relikto that the first edition was thrown together with Olivier Renault, so the house bands could play, La Folie ordinaire and Tokyo Overtones. The second year they put up the big top and the Berber tent. Tourism says five years in Harfleur and, from 2009, the fort. Relikto, in September 2023, inserts a stop in central Le Havre and says they have been at the fort for twelve years. The Stranglers blog, in October 2024, says sixteen years at Tourneville. The three counts stay together. The Tetris turns ten in 2023, so it opens in 2013. In 2016 they add a third stage and Ouestiti, the children's day.

If 2004 is year one, 2023 is the 20th edition. Relikto and AuxArts announce it that way, from 18 to 22 October, with five stages. Evous calls the 2024 one the 21st. Rolling Stone, on 8 October 2025, says they are already at 22 editions. Lust for Live, on the same October weekend, says 22 years. The figures stay together. The night with closed titles is Saturday 19 October 2024, at Le Tetris. The account is RV's, on Stranglers France, from the Fifty Years In Black tour. The band's poster writes LA Havre. He, from Le Havre, writes Tétris. At 9 p.m. Loverman opens, a solo of piano, slide trumpet and guitar. The last piece is sung by a spectator picked at random. The title is not written. The Stranglers have 70 minutes, with no break and no encore. From Rattus Norvegicus come Peaches, Hanging Around, Get a Grip, Nice and Sleazy and Go Buddy Go. JJ says into the mic that Go Buddy Go was their first piece, played in the pubs. From The Raven, Just Like Nothing on Earth and Genetix. From Black and White, Toiler and Sweden. Don't Bring Harry comes out in a frenchy version, with the words touched. Golden Brown and Always the Sun. From the album Dark Matters, White Stallion, Water and Breathe.

The room fills slowly and there are already people on the balcony. It is hot. In a corridor, the merchandise. In another room, eighties arcade games and a pinball machine. June, in a comment on 31 October, writes that they had been told there would be no support and that the room would open only for the Stranglers, so on arrival there was no space at the front. Bladerunner, on 2 November, calls the 70 minutes a short concert because of the festival format. The same Saturday, Paris-Normandie publishes the next day the second night: MC Solaar on the big stage, and says he unveiled a new title. The name is not in what loaded. Before that, Luther, in a ski coat and hood, on his first tour. Favé, at 19, with the album Il le fallait, from 2023. The hit Urus stays as the success that placed him, not as a song marked that night. French 79 plays under the big top. Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, in another register. The stages in that review are the fort, the Tetris and the CEM.

Between songs, JJ talks about the layout of Le Havre: someone explained why the streets go like this and like that, and he moves his forearms at a right angle. He says it is because the British bombed the city. The room reacts. RV adds, as his own note, that the fort served as a German garrison and that the Americans came in afterwards, and that Auguste Perret's reconstruction left long perpendicular roads. That is the reviewer's note, not a line from the stage. The same text recalls the Stranglers' first time in France: 20 April 1977, at the Petit Théâtre, about thirty people, with Rattus Norvegicus just out. That is the blog's memory, not the 2024 night.

The 2025 edition, announced for 17 and 18 October, has no review with titles in what loaded. Rolling Stone interviews Marius Charles-Rault before the weekend, the programmer, from Le Havre, the first time he builds the bill alone. The year before he had covered last-minute replacements. He splits it: the CEM for the local acts, the main stage for new names, the fort with 1,200 places for those arriving, the Tetris for rock. He names The Murder Capital, Sprints, Odezenne again on 18 October at the Tetris, and Irène Drésel the same night. That is the announcement, not the set. Lust for Live names Parasite as the clip from Kap Bambino's album, not as a piece heard in the fort. Festival en France speaks of up to 6,000 people a night. The fort's 1,200 and the 6,000 of the night stay together.

The homepage, read on 28 September 2026, is still selling 16 and 17 October 2026. Those dates have not arrived. The bill on that page, not walked, puts Babyshambles on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m., Médine on Saturday in the same slot, Kery James and Suzane at 8:30 p.m., 2manydjs and Acid Arab after midnight, Daniel Avery, Temples and Flora Fishbach on Friday. City tourism says the Sunday of the three-day editions was free to enter. No email appears in what loaded.
