About the Festival

Reggae Sun Ska Festival is an annual reggae music festival that takes place in Bordeaux, France. The festival is one of the largest and most popular reggae festivals in Europe, featuring a diverse lineup of international and local reggae and dancehall artists, as well as other related genres such as dub, ska, and roots music.

Reggae Sun Ska Festival was first held in 1998 and has since grown to become a major event in the European reggae music calendar, attracting over 50,000 visitors each year. The festival takes place over three days in August, with multiple stages featuring different styles of music. In addition to music, the festival also offers a variety of food and drink vendors, as well as cultural and artistic exhibitions, workshops, and activities.

Over the years, Reggae Sun Ska Festival has featured performances by many notable reggae and dancehall artists, including Damian Marley, Alpha Blondy, Toots and The Maytals, Julian Marley, Chronixx, and many more. The festival has also won several awards, including "Best Festival" at the Victoires du Reggae Awards in 2015.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival was cancelled in 2020 and 2021. However, the organizers have announced plans for the festival to return in August 2022, with a lineup featuring some of the biggest names in reggae and related genres.
