Sasquatch! Music Festival
About the Festival
The Sasquatch! Music Festival was an annual music festival that took place in George, Washington, USA. The festival was founded in 2002 by Pacific Northwest-based concert promoter Adam Zacks and was held annually over Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre until it was discontinued in 2018.
The Sasquatch! Music Festival was known for its diverse lineup of indie rock, hip hop, electronic music, and comedy, as well as its picturesque location overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. Over the years, the festival featured performances from artists such as Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Outkast, The Postal Service, The xx, LCD Soundsystem, and many others.
Despite its popularity, the festival faced financial difficulties in its later years, with low ticket sales and increased competition from other festivals. In 2018, Zacks announced that the festival would not be returning, citing "an increasingly challenging environment" for large-scale music festivals.
