Cumbre Tajín
Sobre el Festival
Cumbre Tajín is a cultural festival held in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, that celebrates the indigenous cultures of Mexico and promotes ecological awareness. The festival is held annually in March and takes place at the El Tajín archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The festival features a wide range of cultural and artistic events, including traditional music, dance, theater, and storytelling performances, as well as workshops and exhibitions showcasing indigenous arts and crafts. In addition to these cultural events, the festival also features a number of ecological and sustainable initiatives, such as tree-planting campaigns, recycling programs, and workshops on environmental conservation.
One of the highlights of the festival is the "Ceremony of the Voladores," a traditional indigenous performance in which a group of dancers climb to the top of a tall pole, tie themselves to the pole, and then spin around and descend to the ground while playing music and performing acrobatic stunts.
Cumbre Tajín attracts thousands of visitors each year, both from Mexico and from around the world, and has become one of the most important cultural festivals in the country. The festival aims to promote and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Mexico's indigenous peoples, as well as to raise awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable development.
