About the festival

About You Pangea Festival feels built for people who do not want to choose between a music festival, a sports weekend, a creative playground, a summer camp for adults and a long party with friends. Its “never stop playing” identity is not just a slogan; it explains the whole idea. Pangea is not only about watching acts on a stage. It is about entering a temporary world where music, sports, culture and play are treated as parts of the same experience.

The festival takes place in Pütnitz an der See, near Ribnitz-Damgarten in northern Germany, in a setting that gives it a very different personality from a standard city festival. It is open, coastal, active and slightly wild, with enough space for stages, camping, sports areas, water activities, workshops, markets, food zones and places to disappear for a while before coming back into the crowd. It feels less like one concert site and more like a temporary town with its own logic, routes and rituals.

Music matters here, but it is not the only center of gravity. Pangea’s lineups move across indie, pop, electronic music, hip hop, German rap, club sounds and live bands. The 2026 programme already points toward that range with names such as Giant Rooks, BUNT., Filow, IKKIMEL, KAFFKIEZ and Souly. It is not a festival that wants to be defined by a single genre. Its musical identity feels closer to the way younger audiences actually listen now: wide playlists, festival singalongs, late-night electronic momentum, rap energy, indie hooks and stages that can shift mood quickly.

What makes Pangea more distinctive is everything around the music. Sports and play are not minor extras placed on the poster to look different. They shape the festival. Skimboarding, skating, BMX, wake-related activities, yoga, contests, water areas, creative workshops and hands-on experiences are part of the daily rhythm. The audience is not only invited to watch; it is invited to do. That changes the atmosphere. You might start the day intending to see a band and end up watching a competition, joining a workshop, trying something physical, wandering through a creative market or following friends into a zone you did not know existed.

The real experience is a kind of organized chaos. You wake up at camp, someone wants coffee, someone wants water, someone wants to check the app, someone is already dressed for sport, someone refuses to miss a set, and someone disappears into an activity and returns hours later with a story that sounds impossible. By afternoon, the festival becomes more musical. By night, it becomes more physical. The stages fill, the bass gets heavier, the groups move faster, and the phrase “let’s just go for a bit” turns into an entire evening.

The About You connection also influences the festival’s visual world. Pangea has a strong fashion and self-expression layer: outfits, photos, curated looks, color, identity, and the feeling that many people treat the festival as a place to perform a version of themselves. But the best part is that the festival does not stay too polished. It mixes style with mess. Someone can arrive dressed perfectly and end the day covered in dust, water, paint, sand or glitter after a workshop, sport session or accidental detour.

Pangea works because it does not try to be solemn. It does not ask its audience to stand still and admire culture from a distance. It asks them to move through it, try things, get tired, discover music, meet people, make bad decisions, recover, and do it again. The festival’s value is in that playful disorder. For four days, Pütnitz becomes a world where music matters, but the full adventure matters even more.
