Parels van de Stad

Parels van de Stad is the hip hop, house, afro and pop weekend of Amsterdam, at Riekerhaven. The front page of parelsvandestad.nl, read on 28 September 2026, thanks 12 and 13 September and opens a register for anyone who wants to be first when they announce another date. That date is not walked. The house text says the festival is for anyone who lives hip hop and urban music, and also house, afro and pop. The June 2023 note calls the concept “for and by Amsterdam”. The “Over Parels” page adds three words: inclusiviteit, muzikaal talent and samenhorigheid. Alex Hes owns E&A Events. In June 2023 that house buys the shares still held by ID&T. Hes says ID&T helped the brand grow and that they want to keep the quality. Valhalla, the indoor festival at the RAI, comes in the same purchase. It is not walked here.

Het Parool, on 9 May 2018, announces 9 September on the beach at Blijburg aan Zee, with tickets at 25 euros. Broederliefde, Jonna Fraser, Maan and Bokoesam are on that preview. Ten parties organise it. Vunzige Deuntjes and Tik Tak run the big stages. Puna has its own. Mrs. Mokum has a stage of women only. TIKTAK writes that it has been there since the first edition, at Blijburg, and does not give the year of that opening. The E&A note of July 2022 already places the weekend at Riekerhaven, Korfbalstraat, 1062 XK Amsterdam, on 10 and 11 September, ages 18 and up. Saturday runs from 12:00 to 23:00 and Sunday from 13:00 to 23:00. TIKTAK and Vunzige Deuntjes sign it then. The June 2023 note names 9 and 10 September of that year, again at Riekerhaven. That is an announcement, not a night that was heard.

FunX publishes on 15 September 2025 and walks the weekend that has just passed. It speaks of thousands of people and of one of the late festivals of that summer. On the FunX stage, DJs Nordin and Wef get people dancing. In the afternoon Kaya Imani is on. Yxng Le, Dior, Chavanté and Kleine John pass through. Rodney, from TikTok, comes up with Kleine John and Chavanté and they sing Samen (Niet Alleen). At the end of the day it rains and the crowd stays. On the main stage, Kevin gets people singing, with no title. Lil Kleine and Idaly follow, with no piece. Hef brings out Josylvio, Adje, Bokke8 and Philly. Jonna Fraser closes and FunX says hit after hit came out, without naming one.

The TIKTAK page for 12 and 13 September 2026 puts the same grounds, from 12:00 to 23:00, and says it takes the main stage both days. The bill names Yade Lauren, Lil Kleine, Jonna Fraser, Broederliefde, Monica Geuze, Idaly, Freddy Moreira and Poke, Donnie, Dries Roelvink and Cristian D, and speaks of more than 150 artists. That is a list. E&A's LinkedIn, on 24 March 2026, speaks of more than nine stages and of hip hop, R&B, pop, latin, afro and house. There is no tune heard there either. The 2025 review is not mixed with that bill.

E&A, in the note on the purchase of Jansen's shares, says Hes and Essam Jansen started the club nights in Amsterdam in May 2008, at 18, and that Hes kept one hundred percent when Jansen left to play as Sem Vox. Rik Sietzema is the general manager in that text. The same note lists Don't Let Daddy Know, Kingsland, Summerpark and the Martin Garrix shows. Those are other houses. The July 2022 text says Hes was born in 1990 and Jansen in 1989, that Don't Let Daddy Know runs in more than twenty countries, among them Hong Kong, India, the United Kingdom and Chile, and that the house puts on more than 85 dates a year, with hundreds of thousands of visitors. Those figures belong to the company, not to one weekend at Riekerhaven. The Saturday host list that E&A publishes for September 2026 puts TIKTAK on the main stage, and also Fiesta Macumba, Encore, Kith Club, Club Tineke, Tante Roosje, Waterkant with Maiko, Bubbels and Club Puck with Mooie Boules. Sunday switches to FUNX, HUSH, Afrolosjes with Gowtu, Liv XXL with Oliva, Terug in de Tijd, Jimmy Woo with Behind Closed Doors and 'T Lammetje, and repeats Club Puck. That is the map of brands, not a song.

The Riekerhaven address is kept. The day with a title is the one FunX tells on 15 September 2025, on its stage, with Samen (Niet Alleen).
