Masters of Rock

Masters of Rock is the mid-July open-air of metal and rock in Vizovice, on the grounds of the Rudolf Jelínek distillery, Razov 472, 763 12. The town sits 14 km east of Zlín and about 30 km from the Slovak border, in the Wallachian hills, and the town note ties it to slivovitz. PRAGOKONCERT BOHEMIA organises it. The director who started it is Jiří Daron. The wristband is the ticket: you can leave and come back while it stays on the wrist. If it comes off or is lost, the door does not open again. Under-15s enter with an adult. From the age of three a separate ticket is required. A pushchair may come in, and at the gate they check the storage space.

The weekend already lived is 16 to 19 July 2026. The Pragokoncert paper calls it the 22nd edition and marks it as already held. The grounds opened on Thursday from 11:00 to 03:00, on Friday and Saturday from 09:00 to 03:00, and on Sunday from 09:00 to 01:00. Wristband exchange started on Wednesday the 15th at 12:00. Showers ran from that Wednesday at 18:00 until Monday the 20th at 10:00. Chill Village went on until 02:30, and on Monday it opened from 08:00 to 11:00. Inside you pay with the chip on the wristband, not with cash or a card at the stalls. The first top-up on site charges 40 crowns to activate. Topping up online beforehand does not charge that fee, and the cutoff was two days before opening. Leftover credit is claimed back within 14 days, in crowns or in euros, not in cash. On that sheet the cutoff fell on 2 August.

There are three seated stands: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Anyone with that ticket sits. Standing, dancing or blocking the view is forbidden on the stand. The main stage has carried, since 2010, the name of Ronnie James Dio, according to the English Wikipedia page. Next to the bungee jump is the green safety tent, Bezpěčnost má zelenou. The locker room, Safebox, is at the entrance: 50 by 30 by 30 cm, with a key and access while the grounds are open, also on Monday the 20th from 08:00 to 12:00. Free camping is on the marked zones beside the distillery and on the Těchlov field. Cars do not enter those meadows, and the organisation does not answer for what is left there. The large unguarded car park sits behind the Sykora site, about 500 metres on foot along asphalt to entrance 1. For the whole stretch, from 15 July at 12:00 to the 20th at 12:00, they charged 600 crowns for a car and 1,200 for a caravan. A single day, at the gate, was 200. Backstage Camp is opposite the distillery, about 100 metres from entrance 1, fenced and with toilets: 550 crowns a tent and 350 a person, from the 15th at 10:00 to the 20th at 12:00. The municipal fee is 21 crowns per person per night, in cash, for five nights. No fire and no animals there, and the standard tent is for two to four people, up to 12 square metres. Dřevosklady sits about 200 metres from entrance 2, 10 metres from the České dráhy station and 250 from a grocery.

The train is line 331, Otrokovice, Zlín, Vizovice. Vizovice station answers on 00420 577 452 209. In the small hours, on the 17th, the 18th and the 19th, a bus left Vizovice at 02:30 for Zlín střed. On the 20th it left at 00:30 for Otrokovice. By road you come on the I/49. From Tuesday the 14th to Monday the 20th there were closures in town, and the note itself asks you to follow the police and the signs. Autokat, on Zlínská 1169, charged 370 crowns a day or 50 an hour, and 100 per person if you sleep in the car. It is watched, with coffee and a toilet, and a paid shower. The phone they publish is 777 750 116. Next to Penny Market, the STK car park opened from Friday the 17th at 16:00.

Daron told Deník and iDNES that the first July was in 2003, two days, about 7,000, after he had seen Roskilde. The following year it was already three days, and soon after four, the shape the 2023 interview says they still keep. In 2011, at the ninth, he spoke of up to 30,000 and of a petition of more than 2,000 signatures to keep it in town. The Czech Wikipedia notes more than 30,000 in 2007. Drink, food, glass, cans, knives, umbrellas and video cameras do not come in. Photos, only on a compact camera without an added lens. No dogs. Beer comes in a reusable cup. The Metalfest promo cup is a souvenir and is not bought back. The same offices print hall dates in Zlín and in Prague. This text is the July open air, at the distillery.
