About the festival

Peacock Society is the techno and house festival in Paris. The agency We Love Art puts it on. It began in 2013 at the Parc Floral de Vincennes. From 2021 to 2023 it was at the Parc de Choisy. In 2024 it went back to the Parc Floral once. In 2025 it moved to the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. The last one was 10 and 11 July 2026, already inside two clubs: FVTVR and Wanderlust, at 34 quai d'Austerlitz, 75013. On the first night Gesaffelstein, Louisahhh and Brodinski's label Bromance were there. Cassius, Nina Kraviz, Laurent Garnier and Skrillex have also played the festival.

On 10 July 2026 it opened at 18:00 and closed at 06:00. On the 11th it opened at 16:00 and closed at 07:00. There were four stages across the two floors. You arrive on metro 5 or 10, or RER C, at Gare d'Austerlitz, and also on metro 1 or RER A at Gare de Lyon. Buses 61, 89 and 215 stop nearby. The rooms are narrow. Coming out of FVTVR, people were soaked. Over the bar there were misting fans. On the esplanade there was a yoga session, and an improvised physiotherapist cracked several backs.

On Friday 11 July 2025 the festival was at the hippodrome, at 2 route de la Ferme, Paris 12th, on about 40,000 square metres. Corentin Fraisse arrived at 17:30. Belaria and Olympe4000 mixed Hollywood, by Madonna, over an acid bed, and dropped Midnight Freaks. It was so hot they sprayed the crowd with a hose. Going without a shirt was banned. Yousuke Yukimatsu went through The Detroit Experiment, a remix of Wannabe by the Spice Girls and the sample from Dilemma, by Kelly Rowland, and closed with Black Poppies, by Underworld. Then Underworld. Karl Hyde danced and recited. When Born Slippy, from 1995, came on, the phones went up. When it ended, people hugged. Born Slippy turned 30 that night. In Yukimatsu's stretch Jordan Nocturne, Nick León with Luc Duran and STLTH also played, and he ran Swedish House Mafia into Marea, by Fred again.. and The Blessed Madonna. Brutalismus 3000, Victoria and Theo, closed that stretch with heavy kicks and with badthiings (rip avicii). On Saturday the 12th the card had Charlotte de Witte, Joy Orbison, KI/KI and DJ Travella.

On 10 July 2026 Roulita finished under red lights and the crowd gave her an ovation. She handed the spot to Adiel and Quelza: one on vinyl, the other digital. Frost Children played Creep, from their EP Tweaker Poem, out the day before. The room went from a near-still quiet to a burst. Robert Hood, in Detroit techno, played The Bells, by Jeff Mills. Whoever was there did not stop dancing. Lisa More closed the other side with breaks and electro. On the Lab stage, Flo Massé and Louison did an acid back-to-back. Friday's card also had Mathew Jonson live and Satoshi Tomiie with Tomoki Tamura. On Saturday, Floating Points mixed house, soul, hip-hop and jazz. Busy P and Channel Tres had people singing and dancing at once. Busy P is Pedro Winter, of Ed Banger. Before Brutalismus 3000, on the hippodrome Friday, Skin On Skin and, again, Olympe4000 came through. SebastiAn had technical faults and still turned the room with the tempo changes. Palms Trax went through house, disco, italo and afrobeat.

The close was the back-to-back of Boys Noize and SALOME. They went from acid to jungle, to hard music, to baile funk and to breakbeat, without a cut. People were at the back of the floor or pressed to the barriers. That night was the goodbye. The open air of the hippodrome no longer fitted the budget, and the two clubs on the quay were the last place.
