O Sol da Caparica

O Sol da Caparica is the weekend of music in Portuguese at the Parque Urbano of Costa de Caparica, in Almada. The first edition was in 2014. musicfest.pt names it in honour of the hit by Peste & Sida, with the motto A Música Deu à Costa, and writes that the motto was not A Música chegou à Costa. SIC Notícias, on 15 August 2014, puts it on its second day and in the first edition, in the same park. The BOL ticket page gives the address Avenida Afonso de Albuquerque, 2825-450 Costa de Caparica, and coordinates N 38º38'58'' W 09º14'22''. André Sardet, in RFM on 20 August 2025, calls the week of 14 to 17 August 2025 the 10th and says that 10th affirmed the festival as national. Forbes and SAPO call the weekend of 13 to 16 August 2026 the 11th. From 2014 to a 10th in 2025 the count does not close. The three figures stay together.

The consortium that has produced it since 2024 is Domingo no Mundo, Sardet's, and Music Mov, António Gomes's. Forbes interviews them as the organisers of the 11th. SAPO calls Sardet artistic director. Before 2024 the text does not load a producer name. The walked week is 2025. RFM, Mariana Gonçalves, counts more than 110,000 people in four days and two sold-out days. musica.com.pt repeats 110,000, two sold-out days, and one night of 35,000. RFM puts Da Weasel, on the third day, in front of 25,000. The 35,000 and the 25,000 stay with their night. In 2014, SIC counts about 16,000 on Thursday, with Buraka Som Sistema, Peste & Sida and Gabriel o Pensador, and 20,000 on the night of Pedro Abrunhosa and Deolinda, and says it was the second night in a row at that figure. The 16,000 and the 20,000 stay together.

Da Weasel debuted at the festival. NiT writes that they opened with Carlão asking for energy and jumping into Essência. Força, Jay, Dúia and Glue_Dawn Pen followed, with Carlão and Jay-Jay Neige. On Casa, with Manel Cruz, the crowd took the verse of the singer and guitarist and did not miss a word. Re-tratamento and Toque Toque also sounded. Outro Nível closed the first part. They came back with Adivinha Quem Voltou, Selectah, Tás na Boa and A Palavra (Sassetti). The group NiT names is Carlão, Jay-Jay Neige, Virgul, Quakas, Guillaz and DJ Glue. Carlão asked them to make the revolution, named Gaza and the civil war in Sudan, and said that as long as there is Benfica on a Sunday nothing is wrong. That sentence is his. CH Magazine walks the second day. Matias Damásio: Loucos had the whole crowd singing, Como Antes drew smiles, Porque Queramos Vernos with Vanesa Martín and Pelos Cantos do Mundo with Mickael Carreira. Menos é Mais: Lapada Dela, the chain Até Que Durou, Tu Mandas No Meu Coração, Adorei and Supera, and the close País Tropical, with cavaquinho and pandeiro. Richie Campbell, already into the small hours: Stress, Midnight in Lisbon and Insomnia. musica.com.pt, the same week, hears Sweet Like a Sugar, Best Friend and Slowly, and Van Zee on Even. The two Campbell lists stay together. The same text puts Bia Caboz with Sentir Saudade and the single Quero é Rir, and Soraia Ramos with Nha Terra, and writes that she was moved to step onto the biggest stage dedicated to lusophone music. Julinho KSD premiered Beira Mar. Bluay and Ivandro came on as guests. musica.com.pt calls that an intimate party of 35,000. Dillaz sang songs from the album O Próprio and Homem da Sirene, which the report says rarely enters his live sets, and Nota 100 with Julinho KSD. Nininho Vaz Maia is on the day CH Magazine describes, with no loose title. Rich & Mendes opened with electronics, with no title. RFM was live each day from 16:00 to midnight and names Bispo, Primos, Miguel Luz, Soraia Ramos, Matias Damásio and Plágio in the dressing rooms, with no songs from that chat.

The announcement of the week of 13 to 16 August 2026, in Forbes and in SAPO, puts Calema, Slow J, Sara Correia, Mundo Segundo with Sam The Kid, Nininho Vaz Maia and Quim Barreiros on the bill. That is the interview from before, not a walked night. No report of that week is loaded here. Sardet says in Forbes that the first job is to close the bill, with more than a year of work, and that they do not depend on public money. The figure the municipality would have put in the 2024 contract is cut off in the paragraph that loaded, and it is not printed in half.
