Paral·lel Festival

Paral·lel Festival is the techno and ambient weekend in the mountains, with one stage and a short capacity. The association Owling Events holds it. Fèlix Beltran is a cofounder, with Jordi Agustí and Patricia. Esther Casado and Amat join the crew before the first. In 2023 Vanity Dust names Esther, Amat, Patricia, Jordi and Félix as the people who run it. The front page of parallelfestival.com, read on 28 September 2026, titles 24 to 26 July at Port del Comte and still sells tickets for those dates. The address is Telecadira del Sucre, 25284 Lleida. The page says about 140 kilometres and one hour and fifty minutes from Barcelona, in the mountains it writes as "Prepyrenan". The bus leaves Barcelona on Friday and returns on Sunday or Monday. Mixmag, Maf Rodriguez, on 31 August 2026, calls that July the ninth: a ski slope, a dome and two Funktion One towers, fifteen artists, and no title.

The announcement of the first, which Vanity quotes, places it from 2 to 4 September 2016 in the mountains of Guardiola de Berguedà. The axes were a limited capacity, nature, one stage, and techno and ambient across three days. Regió7, on 13 August 2019, calls the 30 August to 1 September weekend the fourth. For the second year in a row it stays at Hotel El Jou. A thousand tickets sell out in ten weeks. Beltran calls it something that had not happened. Forty percent of the crowd comes from abroad. There are 35 hours of music. Esther Casado leads the programming in that same presentation and names Mousedown, Guillam and Refracted as artists from the country. There are four professional workshops. Those are announcements, not pieces that were heard. In a Patterns of Perception talk, about the third, Beltran says Patri arrived after the conversations with Jordi and that Jacopo, after the first year, drew the image. Enrique, Svreca, played in 2016 and weeks later at Labyrinth in Japan. Many people there asked him about Paral·lel. The likeness to that festival in the mountains of Japan is his sentence, not a shared weekend. The mayor of Guardiola, Josep Lara, is at the presentation. Donato Dozzy heads the bill. Vanity, years later, remembers that 2019 close as the one that lifted the energy, with no piece. Then they lose the site for reasons outside the plan, and the pandemic cuts two summers. Vanity calls 2022 the fifth, the first at Port del Comte, the first weekend of September.

That Friday 2 September 2022 the forecast announced a flood that did not come. It only rained in the early hours of Saturday, before anyone left the tent. In the morning the ambient comes out of the system and is heard from the canvas. Vanity writes that the hour stops being seven in the evening and becomes "F-on", and that later it is "Kangding Ray o'clock". In that slot someone shouts that they are playing his track. The voice is Viels's. The track is Movement, the one he had released on Utopia Society. Friday's light is so low that the bar needs the phone torch. Shackleton closes toward the melodic, with no title. By day a sign appears with the letters of Paral·lel, in the manner of the Hollywood hills. The photos are by Sara Llobet.

On Saturday, Vân Anh comes in because Peter Van Hoesen cannot travel. She was not on the bill. The set lasts an hour and a half, and a little more. Vanity recognises Time to Time, by Exos, a 2022 track. On the recording the takeoff falls at 01:12:12 and the blend into the next one, around 01:16:16. Jane Fitz closes that night with sound trouble in the booth: on Sunday, in the meadow, as Konduku begins, she tells Vanity that she loves to mix, that she could not make the vinyl blends well and that the set came out different from the one she had planned, and that the crowd stayed close. Gigi FM takes the afternoon, with no piece. DJ Nobu closes Sunday the 4th with four hours. The preview announces it that way. The review treats it as the close that was lived and gives it no tune.

Rodriguez splits the July 2026 weekend into Prologue, Story and Epilogue. Friday opens with Puntalaberinto live, then Xiaolin and Refracted, and Dasha Rush closes. Saturday opens with Jin Mustafa and Ishq's live set. Mammo, Shed's live set, Zara and Reeko follow. Sandwell District closes the day, with no piece. Sunday opens with AIWA and Sabla's live set. Marie Pravda works the percussion. Marco Shuttle closes with the sunset, also with no cut. The ticket page also names Marco Shuttle, Marie Pravda, Sabla, Refracted and zara, whom the review already walks, and AIWA. That is the bill, not a list of tunes.

The Paral·lel 62 club in Barcelona is another room. The Delta Chamber in Amposta is another festival. The Port del Comte address is kept. The day with a title pinned to the minute is the Saturday of September 2022, with Time to Time in Vân Anh's set.
